Bathroom remodels can be long, daunting and inconvenient. Now imagine doing three bathrooms all at the same time! This brave couple decided to take on the challenge and update 3 bathrooms in their house; their powder room, guest bathroom and master bathroom. It was a challenging task for the Astro team but nothing that our award-winning Designer Nathan couldn’t handle.
THE BEGINNING STAGES
Kitchen & Bath Designer Nathan met with the clients right from the early planning stages. From the beginning he knew they wanted the room to meet the needs of a growing family and create a home spa that would be relaxing for both the owners and visiting guests. They decided on a contemporary style for all three rooms.
From the drawings to pricing and revisions, Designer Nathan was there every step to make sure the process would be as enjoyable and seamless as possible for these homeowners. Like any project, there were surprises, but what the clients appreciated most was how fast Astro’s team was able to react to the issues. Nathan understood their vision and was able to help execute it and deliver designs beyond their expectations.

THE DETAILS IN THE SPACES
The couple was impressed with Nathan’s ability to incorporate their personality into the three rooms, while making each room fully functional and detailed. The earth-tone theme was used throughout each room.
The warm earthy wood tones of the vanity in the guest bathroom harmonize with the natural looking elements of the tile and plumbing. A stand out piece is definitely the copper sink which balances with the rustic oil bronze finish on the contemporary fixtures.

The master bathroom is not your typical room; it has an angled ceiling that needed careful planning. Nathan was able to use it to add some creativity to their room and add an interesting visual. He made the most of the space by choosing a freestanding tub and turning it into a wet room. This allowed for the client to have a two person bathtub and a large walk-in shower with floor to ceiling glass. Also, the pop of black in the sinks contrasted beautifully with the earth-toned tiles on the floors and walls.

The rooms combined earthy wood tones, textured marble and stamped concrete porcelain wall tiles with added light from a transom window to the hallway for a spa-like room – while keeping on budget.
It’s no wonder these designs have won a combined total of 4 awards, one being the NKBA People’s Choice Award!
